EB-5 Investment Coalition Welcomes Extension of
Job-Creating EB-5 Regional Program
Washington, DC – The EB-5 Investment Coalition, a broad-based coalition representing EB-5 industry participants across the country, today released the following statement from Angelique Brunner, the EB-5 Investment Coalition’s Industry Membership Chair and Spokesperson, on Congress’ extension of the EB-5 Regional center program:
“We thank leaders in the House and Senate for their decision to extend the EB-5 Regional Center Program as part of the Continuing Resolution. This action by Congress is a reflection of the program’s broad bipartisan support and the fundamental value it creates for the U.S. economy.
“As a businessperson who works with the EB-5 program every day, I know the tremendous benefits it provides in terms of attracting investment and creating jobs – providing the critical capital to jump start development that otherwise would not get off the ground. For the past 26 years, the EB-5 program has fueled investment in projects in all 50 states and created tens of thousands of jobs in the process, promoting job growth and business investment in cities, suburbs and rural regions throughout the U.S., all at no cost to taxpayers.
“Now that Congress has extended the EB-5 Regional Center Program, we hope that in the new year Members will pass permanent reforms that would prevent fraud, protect national security, and strengthen the program. We look forward to working with Members of both parties to enact the reforms our Coalition has long called for alongside an extension of the EB-5 program next year.”
